Adoption Story
EDDIE has been adopted! He was originally surrendered to The Lost Dogs Home in North Melbourne by his owner due to ‘separation anxiety’. Placed into foster care as he wasn’t coping in their shelter environment, Eddie was great with their cats except the one that wasn’t confident to ‘stand its ground’, with Eddie deciding chasing the poor soul was a good game. Clearly this wasn’t a suitable arrangement so back he went to LDH. As LDH have recently starting openly working with external rescue groups, he was put on their ‘Rescue list’ which BAWCS receives and we decided to take him on. After undergoing our own assessment and spending time with him, he was listed for adoption. A lovable little boy, he not only won over the dogs he shared with at the shelter but also everyone at the vet clinic when he went in for his health assessment.
It wasn’t long for Eddie to win a heart from ‘afar’ and today, after his ‘meet and greet’ with potential new family travelling from Melbourne (including resident dog), Eddie has sailed off into the sunset. We will miss this little guy and look forward to hearing how he settles in.
